Where to point AI (and what to fix first)

How in the world did I end up consulting on AI? I'm a marketer, right?

It's because I don't want to gatekeep the superpowers I feel like I've obtained from using AI.

Here's where it starts: 15+ years of marketing and sales operations, 25+ operating businesses, and 4 years digging deep into AI have put me in a pretty good position to consult on this topic. So here I am, advising on AI in business operations.

When a client asks me about AI, I ask seven questions about their business before we discuss a single tool.

View the video or read the full article with the seven questions here.

Answer those honestly and you have the start of an AI implementation that can win.

Work the list in order of what is costing the company the most, because that is where improvement will be easiest to prove.

What the video covers

  1. Why AI breaks the old software pattern.
  2. What operational drag looks like.
  3. The seven questions I ask every client before we discuss any AI platform.
  4. The client whose quoting process nearly cost them six figures.
  5. Why good AI gets written up as a failure.
  6. The five documents to start this week.

You are being asked for more content, and more video, with the same budget and the same people you had last year. Meanwhile the people who actually know the subject are busy doing their real jobs. The fix is one 30 to 45 minute interview a month. You do not need the expert to make content. You need them to talk. Everything else gets built by your team from that recording. This video I posted on the Content Monsta channel shows you exactly how. Read the full article or click below to watch the...

Your buyers are searching with ChatGPT, Claude, and Google’s AI Overviews. So how do you get your content to show up there? Video is one of the best ways, and YouTube videos are among the most-cited sources in AI search. You don't even need a big audience to get cited. But you do need to get these few things right. This video I posted on the Content Monsta channel shows you what those are.Read the full article or click below to watch the video. Five things I cover in the video The One Question...

Quantity plus Quality of Content is the key

I recently did a full Master Class (the word 'webinar' is dead, right?) on how to create both quality and quantity content.I'm sure someone has told you that you don't need more content; you need better content. That's only half of the good advice. The whole story is a little different than that. You need enough content before you can start saying you don't need more. Low output means nobody sees you, and that is silence. High output with nothing behind it is noise. AI ended that argument,...
