The End of Marketing Attribution, the beginning of Content Contribution

For 15 years I chased one word: Attribution.
I tracked UTM codes and cookies, built the spreadsheets, and lived inside Salesforce, HubSpot, Adobe Marketo, Eloqua, and Pardot, trying to prove the value of content marketing.

But the availability of that data is much different today. And we have to stop fooling ourselves that the old KPIs still make sense.

So now, I'm helping marketers dig themselves out of the marketing attribution trap we built... for ourselves.

Recently, I gave a keynote at GPeC - E-Commerce & Digital Marketing Summit in Bucharest on why attribution no longer works and what to measure in its place.

I want to share this with you, so check out the full article to learn new ways to measure content.

Discover Five KPIs that prove contribution

These run from input to proof. Each has a formula and an audience, and I break down all five, with the equations, in the full article.

  • Expert Input Rate
  • Content Asset Yield
  • Library Compound Growth
  • Deal Content Usage Rate
  • Customer-Reported Influence Rate
